Live on Bear, Thanks for all the memories and for getting me out of many a jam. Your truly were this man's best friend.

Friendly and gentle but tuff when you had to be. Oh and thanks for kicking butt on that Doberman that wanted to eat me for dinner that evening near the farm. That will teach me to take up jogging on our old farm road. I guess I can't forget about the time Dad was working cattle in the squeeze chute and that mean old cow broke out of the chute and ran Dad and everyone else out of the pen and since you couldn't get out she took it out on you. But that was pretty funny when we got you out and we put her back in the chute, all was calm and then out of nowhere you ran up and bit her in the flank. We all busted out laughing.

How you loved to ride in that Air Conditioned tractor with Dad. The best part was when there was a Jack Rabbit, we just opened the door and out you flew after that rabbit. You never caught one but I don't think that you ever had more fun. All those times I used to try and load a stubborn horse in a trailer and stringing that long rope through the front and trying to push from behind, what a pain. One day I just got fed up and asked you come in behind and from that day on you always would help load a horse without freaking one out, Good Job.

I don't think that you ever met a kid you didn't like because eventually you would find a stick or ball and drop at the kids feet and the fun was on. Oh yes you were a roamer, I remember Dad telling me that Mrs. Ross saw you on the Lingleville Hwy. No doubt headed for a new girlfriends home. I really should have kept you up but you never caused problems. Except for the time someone must not have liked you hanging near their female and they blasted you with a shotgun. Every Vet I ever saw after that said, Hey did you know your dog is full of shotgun pellets in his skin?, Yep I said, it was all over love! I never bred you and I should have because I am sure you have many good pups out there but I never got one and I should have. Forgive me folks I have changed my ways since the early 80's, the world is full of too many puppies. Thanks for getting the paper out of the tube jumping back across cattle guard and bring it right to me.

Remember that guy who had that real fat old bull who was halter broke and he could barely lead him because he would just stop and stand there. That old bull would always get out and there would be old so and so trying to lead him. He was so happy when we came by and I said oh you could help move him. That old bull would really move good with you heeling him from behind. Remember that time we had the gooseneck trailer and you were in the back of the truck, we were cruising down the road when the trailer brakes just locked up and started burning rubber. Buddy you were out of there, I couldn't believe that you bailed out into the bar ditch, you must have rolled ten times. But you just shook it off, I let you ride in the cab after that on long trips.

Who could forget the run in you had with that skunk!!, I do. How many times did you spook a cat out of the bushes when I was walking. Well I knew that time something was different because I never saw you come out of those bushes so fast and boy did you stink!! Nothing like a bathtub of water and vinegar to solve that though.
